Media, education and culture, a programme of the EU

Project Description

sagasnet is a non-profit initiative aiming at furthering narrative interactive content creation.

Since 2006 the activities of sagas writing interactive fiction are organized by sagasnet as well.

Traditionaly one main sagasnet activity focuses on supporting individual creative professionals to find appropriate team members and producers necessary for the further development of their content concept.

Therefore sagasnet has established a database of European professionals willing to join such a network. Joining the database is free of charge. Only individuals can enter the database. The use of the database is free of charge as well, strictly project oriented and mediated by sagasnet, only.

In case you are looking for appropriate team members for the development of an interactive narrative project please contact sagasnet directly submitting a short project description plus a specification regarding the team member you are looking for. To avoid possible copyright problems sagasnet will then contact you and possible team members separately forwarding project related information just to the extend sagasnet is authorized to communicate. After sagasnet has established the initial contact negotiations are exclusively up to the individuals themselves.

Once a year sagasnet organizes a Developing Interactive Narrative Content Seminar addressing development issues for interactive narrative projects. The pivotal focus will be promising content ideas for interactive media and to support participants in getting these ideas into development, production and – successfully into the market. During the seminar up to ten pre-selected projects will be provided in parallel with up to ten face-to-face consulting sessions (a.o. on financing, project management, marketing, story structure, interactivity design, interface design).

In 2007 the Developing Interactive Narrative Content Seminar will take place in Stuttgart, Germany from April 29 – May 4 2007, parallel to and in cooperation with the fmx/07.
